FAQ

How do we book you?

In order to secure your date, a signed contract and 50% retainer are due at booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding.

How long have you been shooting weddings? How many do you shoot each year?

I just began my tenth year of shooting weddings, and I photograph about 15 per year.

Do you have liability insurance and backup equipment?

Absolutely. Please let me know if your venue requires a certificate of insurance so I can have one sent over. I always come prepared with multiple backup cameras and equipment.

Do you travel? What about travel fees?

Happily! I travel often for weddings, both in the U.S. and abroad. Travel fees usually amount to airfare & on the ground transportation costs, as well as a reasonable 2-3 night hotel/Airbnb stay near your venue. Before booking, I always prepare an itemized quote based on current rates so there are no surprises.

Do you have a second shooter? Do we need one?

I have wonderful second shooters, but needing one depends. I always recommend adding another photographer if you’re expecting 120 or more guests, and/or if your plans require photography in two places at once. With more details about your plans I can give you my best recommendation.

When do we receive our wedding photos?

Your entire collection is guaranteed 6-8 weeks from your wedding date (depending where that falls during high or low season), and you’ll receive a digital preview of about 50 images within two weeks of your wedding.

How many photos will we receive?

On average, I deliver about 50-60 final, edited images for each hour of shooting. With two photographers the average delivery is about 70-80 per hour.

Can we give you a shot list?

Definitely! I want to know what’s most important to you. Tell me about all of the meaningful details and special guests to expect. We’ll also make an organized list for family & group photos so that part of the day is easy and efficient. Beyond that, I encourage my couples to leave room for creativity and serendipity throughout the day.
